By double tapping on the map, you can quickly enable/disable the functionality as well. With that option enabled, you can drag the map with your finger to navigate, you can pinch to zoom in and out, and you can tap and hold to set a marker on the map. When using a touch-enabled device, an extra option for enabling/disabling touchscreen control will appear below the map. The "Save Map" button allows you to save the currently shown map as png image file. You can always remove and add the marker by double clicking on the map. This is done by dividing your cordinates by 8. Take coordinates of nether fortress/where you want your portal to be in nether. The lower inputs allow you to go to a specific point (e.g., your base) of the map and set a marker there. These Nether Coordinates will tell you where to put your portal in the Nether so they will be linked up correctly. You can use the slider below the map or your mousewheel for zooming. To scroll, use your arrow keys while your mouse cursor points at the map, or move your mouse while holding down the left mouse button. Once you entered your seed and version you can start using the map. The app does this the same way Minecraft does, so it's safe to use letters (and other characters) as well. Nether Portal Calculator is an intuitively designed calculator that determines where portals should be placed in the Overworld and Nether dimensions to appear. Because my world has set custom world borders (6k from spawn) for performance sake, so do nether (mere 750 block from spawn. As a vanilla server owner with verry little gameplay tweaks, I am concerned with upcoming problem with netherite ore availability for my players. If you type in anything else (like letters), it will be converted to a number. Gamerule to change overworld:nether coordinates correlation (8:1 default). The only dimension in vanilla this mod affects is the nether (with a scale of 8), but it will work with any custom dimension utilising coordinate scales Dependencies. You should also know that a seed is always a number (up to around 20 digits). It adds a new line for horizontal coordinates in the scale of the overworld. When loading a seed from a level, the seed will automatically be stored as a level. Levels allow you to store and reuse seeds on this website, without having to load your savegame every time. On Windows you can use %appdata%\.minecraft\saves to get to that folder. You can find the savegames in the saves folder of your Minecraft installation. Level.dat is a small file located in the folder of every Minecraft savegame. The latter can be done by clicking on "Load from Save." and selecting your level.dat, or by drag&dropping the level.dat file into your browser window. You can either type it in manually, or you can load it from your savegame. You're still gonna have to go quite a long way from your home-base nether-side portal near (2800, 1200) but at least it'll be a lot faster than making the trek all the way from -22k in the overworld. The first thing you should do is select a seed and version. If your friends are at x/z of (-200, -500) in the overworld, you will want a nether-side portal at about (-25, -63). If more than one such location is found, it will use the one nearest, linearly, to the entry point. Once it has that location, it scans the nearby area for any nether portal block that doesn't have another nether portal block beneath it, within 128 blocks on the X and Z axes, from bedrock all the way up to y=128 (in the nether) or y=256 (in the overworld). For example if you step into an overworld portal at (200, 53, 400) then the game will want to put you at (25, 53, 50) in the nether. When you step into a portal, the game first calculates your "entry point" in the other world. Calculate Minecraft's Nether world coords to Overworld or vice versa. This works in reverse, too, by multiplying the nether coordinate by 8 instead of dividing. Y is not affected by this, so the equivalent Y coordinate is the same in both worlds. These are your "equivalent" nether coordinates. Are the nether coords multiplied by 8 to get the over world coords Thanks for your time 2 Apr 29, 2014. Take the X and Z coordinates of your location in the overworld and divide them by 8. At random times, a nether portal will send me to the coordinates of the location I had just left rather than the original corresponding coordinates. correct location (say your coords are 2480, -4480, make your portal at 310, -560 and it will link) basically, your overworld coords/8 nether coords.
